The Blessing is in the Mouth of Father-Priests: Part 1.

Every child of God is redeemed to fulfil a heavenly agenda – a Godly vision leading to a glorious destiny. This is what gives value to our sojourn on earth. To secure our spiritual destiny is to guarantee the fulfilment of other aspects of our destiny. A person is a success who accomplishes all that His Creator sent him to do on earth, when, like Apostle Paul, he finishes his race, not by accumulating wealth and a mention among the world's richest! But the enemy of God will try to stop him. The forces contending for the spirit, soul and body of the young and vulnerable in these end times when there is ‘a great rebellion against God’ 2Thess.2:3 NLT, are aggressive, to say the least. Therefore, a father’s priestly role is to maintain a prayer cover over his children. How is this done? Scripture has the answer: bless them, putting God's Name on them; where His name is, His power resides.
God designed the mode by which priests are to bless His people Num.6:24-26. The crux of the prayer is this: 'So they shall put My Name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.' v.27. By the Blessing, the father invokes the Name of God over his children, causes Him to bless them, guarantee all that is required for a good life, assure divine security, peace, grace, favour, and, most importantly, His presence. Isaac profited by it Gen.26:3, 12-14, understanding its essence, Moses insisted on it Exd.33:15-16, Joseph thrived by it Gen.41:38, like Jesus, your children will excel at every endeavour because of it Acts.10:38. Whom God has blessed, who can curse?
In God's Kingdom, things rarely happen until something is said: 'By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.' Heb.11:3. Words are potent, with power to create, conquer size, advance against the force of contrary winds; they set fire on dreams, give them speed, just like a space shuttle! Fathers need cultivate the habit of speaking creatively over children, based upon the revelation they have of God's will for them. The breath that gives life is in you, being a living, speaking spirit, just like God. Ezekiel’s words caused an army of soldiers to rise from a valley full of dry bones Ezk.37, Jesus calmed the storm by saying 'Peace, be still' Mk.4:39 and the wind ceased. Jacob was moved by the Holy Spirit to prophesy into his sons’ lives: 'he blessed each one according to his own blessing' Gen.49:28. So must you.
The Blessing makes the difference, it distinguishes your children. At school they excel, at work they provide solutions, among friends they are the go-to persons for answers. When a believing father speaks words of affirmation, of grace, over his children, he opens doors before them that they did not even know exist; his words can penetrate space and time, shift things in their favour – even in distant locations. Words can change past mistakes, create the future you desire for your children. There are too many contentions for their glorious destinies, so do not keep quiet; use your mouth to agree with what Jesus Christ has already secured for them.

Prayer:
Blessings cannot flow out of defiled lips and a perverse tongue, therefore, Lord, I ask for the discipline to help me keep my words healthy to speak blessings over my children. Grant me sustaining grace to maintain the altar of communion with You, that I may bless after the pattern revealed at our private conversations. Like Isaiah, give me the tongue of the learned Is.50:4; like David, let the words of my mouth be acceptable to You O Lord Ps.19:14, and profitable unto our family, in Jesus’ holy name.

Declaration:
By the super-abounding grace of God, I put the name Jesus on my children and release the inherent power in that name over them. Let every benefit in the heavens, every good in the earth, and every material wealth under the earth bow and do God’s will concerning them, for, it is He who works in all creation, both to will and to work for His good pleasure; that He may receive the glory Phil.2:11, 13. Thank You, Jesus.
